RiverFest 2018

Our thanks to all our sponsors, volunteers and those who participated in LRCA's RiverFest!!

Mother Nature was not on our side Saturday May 12, 2018. With a break in the rain the Canoe-A-Thon commenced.  Our festivities at Sweeney's Beach were cut short because of the predicted bad weather for the rest of the afternoon.  Thanks to James McGurl and Dave Brown for providing the music for the early afternoon entertainment.  Too all the vendors, exhibitors and food trucks, THANK YOU.

On Saturday May 12, 2018, paddlers will take to the water and revelers will fill the banks of the Lackawanna River.  A day of exercise and fun, RiverFest draws the community outdoors after the long uncommon winter to celebrate the valley and the river that runs through it.
2018 continues us to “Move Forward!”  The LRCA moves forward providing service involving citizens of our watershed with conservation and stewardship of the River, its tributaries and water resources.
